The International Leadership Charter High School is a high performing College Preparatory high school dedicated to providing an exceptional secondary school education to first and second- generation students to graduate college ready. The International Leadership Charter High School implements an academically rigorous Regents and college-preparatory curriculum that elevates students’ intellectual capacity and provides a superior high school education. Our Charter High school is in the Top 1% High School out of 500 NYC Public High Schools and Recipient of Bronze Award from U.S. News & World Report for Best High Schools nationally 2013 through 2022. We are the first community grown charter high school in the Bronx.
Position Description:
We are looking for a Director of Recruitment and Personnel to design and implement recruiting strategies to hire dedicated, highly skilled, and qualified staff for our charter school. The responsibilities include monitoring recruitment procedures, from sourcing to hiring, , and identifying high-potential candidates. If you have previous experience working in a senior recruiting position at a charter school and know how to build a strong employer brand, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, the successful candidate will assist in developing our staffing capacity for every academic and operational year in order to achieve our charter school goals.
Responsibilities:
Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings.
Lead all sourcing strategies.
Manage our external partnerships with colleges, job boards and HR software vendors.
Implement online and offline charter school branding activities.
Prepare and review our annual recruitment budget.
Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews, and communication)
Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans.
Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our charter school.
Develop a network of potential future hires from our college partnerships.
Measure key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and time-to-hire
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
Proven work experience as a Director of Recruitment and Personnel or similar role
Demonstrable experience managing full cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives.
Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. social networks)
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and HR databases.
Good team-management abilities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners, and candidates)
A Bachelor’s degree and/ or Master’s in Human Resources Management, Business, Education or relevant field
Hold exceptionally high personal standards for performance and be a person of high moral character and with well-developed emotional intelligence and have an objective mindset.
Ability to accept feedback from executive leadership without taking it personally.
Demonstrate an ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize strategically.
Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing)with the CEO, school administrators, teachers and community.
Compensation and Benefits:

offer a compensation package commensurate with experience, to include a competitive base
salary as well as health, dental, vision and 401 (K).
