Position Overview: The Portfolio Associate will play a crucial role within our client's Operations team, consisting of four professionals. This position requires a dedicated individual with 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, who is comfortable working closely with our Traders and other team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including trade settlements, account reconciliations, and portfolio/performance reporting.


Key Responsibilities:


Trade Settlements:

  • Execute and monitor trade settlements across various asset classes.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of trade processing.
  • Liaise with brokers and custodians to resolve settlement issues.

Account Reconciliations:

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of client accounts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

Portfolio and Performance Reporting:

  • Prepare and distribute portfolio and performance reports for clients.
  • Analyze and interpret portfolio data to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to provide insights and support decision-making.

Client Service and Support:

  • Assist in responding to client inquiries regarding account information and transactions.
  • Work closely with client advisors to ensure accurate and timely client communications.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain and update client account information in internal systems.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed by the team.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in the implementation of compliance procedures and controls.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within an RIA firm or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of trade settlements, account reconciliations, and portfolio/performance reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
