Regulatory Affairs Compliance Manager

Regulatory Affairs Compliance Manager – My client has a great career opportunity for an experienced regulatory compliance professional. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring company products and services comply with applicable UL and other agency standards and regulations. This is a new role so you will be reviewing existing practices and developing new policies, procedures, training and auditing functions.
You will apply your expertise, guidance, support and governance relative to critical company product safety and regulatory compliance requirements and business processes to ensure products and services are safe and compliant.
Coordinate and audit existing and new product compliance projects driving the creation of detailed plans, schedules, budgets, progress reports and overall compliance with UL and EPA standards and regulations.
Make recommendations and assist in the development of corrective action plans to address any non-compliance issues.
Develop and implement internal training programs to ensure employee awareness and compliance of regulatory requirements.
Monitor varies agencies for changes to regulations and communicate with company management the impact and implementation process for such changes as they relate to products and services.
Develop strong working relationships with UL, EPA and other agency representatives maintaining open lines of communications ensuring timely written and verbal responses to all inquiries.
To be successful in this role you should also have in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, small 4-cycle engine emissions, ASHRAE codes and standards, a Bachelors degree in a related field and at least 7+ years of related industry experience. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team demonstrating strong organizational and problem solving skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. SORRY, WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY OR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE. Experience with small engine generators, water heaters and HVAC is a plus.
This job can be located in Alexandria, Virginia or Clinton Township, just north of Detroit. There will be travel between these locations. There may be consideration for working remotely if you currently live in general area of these locations. This is a well-funded young company that is already in revenue and has contracts.
