Lifeline Center For Child Development is located on a beautiful, green campus in Queens Village, NY. We provide Psychiatric Day Treatment & Outpatient Mental Health Services to children enrolled in grades K-12. Our teams across programs is comprised of dedicated, trained clinical professionals who work collaboratively to meet each child's needs.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Therapist in the Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) Outpatient Program. As a Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual and therapy to children ages 5-18, and support to their families. You will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment management. Sessions take place in our clinic in Queens Village, and on occasion in the community(child's school, home, etc.). Any travel is reimbursed by the agency.
The Clinic operates Tuesday - Friday from 10:30AM - 6:30PM, and Saturdays from 9AM - 5PM. The team is off Sundays and Mondays.
Qualifications
- Thoughtful understanding of trauma, and its effects on the developing brain
- Familiarity with clinical intervention approaches
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Master's degree in Social Work, or related field, and appropriate licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, MHC-LP, Psy. D.)
