Role: Enterprise Windows Deployment Lead Software Engineer

Duration: up to 12 months contract with possible extension

Location: Johns Creek GA

Job Overview:

Under general supervision and with minimal assistance from more experienced and knowledgeable analysts join the Enterprise Windows Deployment Team as a Level 3 Engineer. This role involves supporting driver updates operating system deployment physical hardware testing and validation and point of sale (POS) support and development. Provide 3rd level support for client and server operating systems. Independently research and resolve moderately complex technical problems. Document operating standards implementation procedures and troubleshooting details. Manage a time and action calendar and ensure the quality of deliverables. As an intermediatelevel technical contributor (in one or more specialized phases of system development) the incumbent will gain increasing business systems knowledge and serve as primary system support for one or more moderately complex information systems. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Support and administration of largescale Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager infrastructure and client systems both onpremise and with Azure AD joined devices.

Independently troubleshoot Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Site Servers Distribution Points (DPs) agent installations and health.

Support OS deployment application package distribution advertisements and collections.

Produce Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager reports for various business needs and compliance.

Deployment support of Microsoft and 3rd party security patches to client machines.

Evaluate and test hardware OS and applications making recommendations on new/upgrades to hardware OS and applications.

Act as lead on small to mediumsized projects to provide integrated team support and maintenance of hardware and software as needed in a team environment.

Provide technical expertise to teams in the development of systems solutions.

Manage daytoday projectrelated activities for basic / complex projects including producing driving and managing project schedules status resources deliverables issues risks and timelines with input from the team.

Build team consensus and have responsibility for the and final delivery of the project including conducting postphase evaluations and communicating lessons learned and best practices to management.

Manage customer expectations and keep the customer aware of the project status and critical issues and risks; obtain customer signoff at appropriate checkpoints.

Prepare documentation on all phases of projects.

Keep management well informed on a timely basis of progress status and concerns for each assignment.

Effectively communicate ideas and information to peers management and customers.

Participate in on call rotation; ability to respond within 1 hour during offtimes for support.

Consistently demonstrate regular dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree preferred and 34 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3 to 4 years with Azure AD.

3 to 4 years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

3 to 4 years of experience with Microsoft Operating Systems or Unix LAN implementation/support.

1 to 2 years of experience with clientserver applications in a 2tier and 3tier architecture.

Intermediate level knowledge of clientserver hardware platforms.

Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

General knowledge of LAN/WAN components.

Intermediate level technical writing skills (documentation).

Intermediate level understanding of emerging technologies.

Intermediate level organizational teamwork facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.

Intermediate level presentation and written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.

Functional understanding of the assigned retail business area (logistics credit and so forth) and how it interacts with other areas of the business and detail processes; overall understanding of the MST suite of systems and their interdependence is a plus.

Intermediate level conflict resolution negotiation and consensus building skills.
