Business Development Manager, Fleet UpfittingWe're seeking a proven Business Development Manager, Fleet Upfitting to drive new business growth with a primary focus on Commercial Truck Upfitters. This field-based role offers great earning potential while working in our fast-paced, competitive environment.You'll spend approximately 70% of your time developing new business and 30% nurturing existing customer relationships, with travel up to 50% to build strong dealer partnerships and capture market opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development (70%)Lead Generation: Generate and qualify new leads with Commercial Truck Upfitters and light-duty Ford/GM/Ram dealersMarket Penetration: Develop and execute strategic market penetration plans for assigned territoriesPipeline Management: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through disciplined CRM usage and activity-based KPIsComplex Sales: Navigate 3-6 month sales cycles, negotiate and close complex upfitting dealsIndustry Presence: Represent our company at industry events and trade shows to prospect new clientsAccount Management (30%)Relationship Nurturing: Maintain and grow existing customer base within dealer networksQuick Wins: Identify and close quick-win van-upfit and commercial truck ordersTerritory Focus: Manage light-duty Ford/GM/Ram dealers within assigned geographic regionMarket Intelligence: Provide insights on market trends and competitive landscapeStrategic ActivitiesCRM Excellence: Maintain disciplined pipeline reporting and meet new activity KPIsSelf-Generation: Execute hunter-mentality prospecting through cold calling, dealer networks, and marketing lead conversionPerformance Accountability: Deliver against territory revenue targets and new dealer account metrics
