System Administrator Anchorage Alaska(Hybrid)

This is a "contract to hire" opportunity and will be hybrid for the Anchorage Alaska Area and limited to local candidates in Alaska. The System Administrator will support the IT Manager by providing IT systems support and resolving issues within the organization. Key attributes for success include strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, along with the ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, and function as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficiency, stability, and security of cloud-based applications, core server systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system health and address unusual activity.
- Manage user accounts and assist with new feature launches and group policy maintenance.
- Support and train users, maintain system images, and configure/deploy new computers.
- Assist remote users with mobile device management.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager and other staff to resolve issues and improve systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT hardware/software.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Support Engineer, ITIL v4, and CompTIA certifications.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, work with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to schedule variations.
