Right of Way Project Manager

This position functions as an Area Right of Way Project Manager for numerous projects. Assists the Metro Division Right of Way Engineer in administrating the Metro Division Right of Way functions, expedites and coordinates the preparation of necessary right of way for the Metro Program, prepares Right of Way Agreements, and represents MnDOT in the acquisition of right of way through eminent domain process. This position may also manage special assignments for the Metro Right of Way Office.


Minimum Qualifications

· Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity. (If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)

· Project management skills sufficient to lead and train staff in managing workloads, scope and schedule as well as to provide guidance to consultants and contractors.

· Knowledge of Right of Way processes and products.

· Valid Class D Driver’s License with NONE of the following: a major traffic conviction in the past 5 years OR 4 or more minor violations OR 3 or more at-fault accidents in the last 3 years OR any combination of minor violations and at-fault accidents totaling 4 or more occurrences.


Engineer Graduate 2 Minimum Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited college or university or equivalent AND two years of post-graduation civil engineering experience;

OR

  • A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university or equivalent AND one year of post-graduation civil engineering experience.

AND

· A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
