TITLE: Senior General Manager: Exhibit Operations
POSITION SCOPE: Your responsibilities will be to collaborate with executive-level management in managing the Exhibit Operations of each venue assigned while executing performance goals and long-term operational plans for exhibit operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Maximize efficiency and productivity through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration with Exhibit Operations departments.
• Manage and increase revenue goals while observing and executing cost containment practices and guest services.
• Provide leadership and ensure accountability for all team members inside exhibit operations, ensuring focus and business in accordance with HPX mission.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic goals for the health of the show to include hiring and maintaining labor levels, inventory, and assets in accordance with revenue generation and operational efficiency, planning operational traffic flows and objectives.
• Manage the tech teams onsite, ensuring clear communications on operational interactives and onsite scenic needs.
• Analyse current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement.
• Lead all communication, development and venue employee training efforts
• Manage the maintenance of the facility as needed or required, as well as budgets related to those efforts.
• Lead communications in operational meetings regarding best practices and metrics to centrally capture, monitor and improve customer experience.
• Continue to develop and maintain operational KPI's to senior management on operational metrics.
• Create, manage, and review operational procedures, documenting release information guidelines and requirements improving better and more thorough request information.
• Navigate operational landscape and challenge the everyday norm to exemplify the Exhibit teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with project designers and managers on egress and ingress, ensuring proper traffic flow towards the natural layout of the venue that will enhance the guest experience, and provide ability to monitor capacity planning.
• Develop and manage operational budgets against actual expense to successfully plan, launch, and close a show.
• Executing duties to completion for the full life cycle of the show to include pre-planning, load-in, build-out, live operations, and closure to include a clean handoff in all operational stages of the show.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Determine operational needs for each venue and set up local resources for each to ensure successful opening and continued operations throughout the duration of the exhibition. Work with the GM and onsite team to establish services for trash collection, staff parking, internet services, utilities, operational supplies, venue cleaning, asset inventory and care etc.
• Provide leadership and direction to the onsite venue management team from pre-opening through load out in coordination with Company Project Manager.
• Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
• Work closely with Imagine Exhibitions VP of Global Operations to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· University degree in business administration or related field
· 5+ years senior leadership role in Operations Management or Retail Operations Management
· Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including hiring, customer service, production, and employee management
· Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity.
· Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
· Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines
· Experience with budget and business plan development
· Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity.
· Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings
· Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
· Ability to prioritize and concurrently work on multiple projects in a fast-paced studio environment
· Ability to meet deadlines, without compromising accuracy, within the constraints of schedule and budget
· Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to function in high-pressure situations.
· Manual dexterity to operate a computer.
· Correctable vision and hearing.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Clear, easy to understand oral communication ability.
· Ability to lift 50/23 Kilograms pounds occasionally for the purposes of moving equipment on and off shelves.

· Skilled in the use computer and office equipment
· Proficient in activities requiring manual dexterity of both hands.
· Travel domestically and/or internationally based on business needs.
Primarily an onsite position but will also require remote meetings.
