Job Title: Documentation Writer/Technical Writer
Location: Winston-Salem, NC (HYBRID 3 days in office Tuesday MANDATORY)
Job Pay Rate: $39 – 40/hour on W2
Job Type: Contract role (Until the end of the year. No guarantee on either extension or conversion but that is always a possibility.)
Shift: 1st Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
Description:
We are seeking a Documentation Writer to join our team and create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our products or services.
The Documentation Writer will be responsible for producing user guides, manuals, tutorials, and other types of technical documentation to assist customers in understanding and using our offerings.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
Write and edit user-friendly content for various types of documentation, including user guides, manuals, and tutorials.
Organize and maintain a centralized repository of all documentation.
Update documentation as needed to reflect product changes and enhancements.
Incorporate feedback from users and internal teams to continuously improve documentation quality.
Ensure documentation complies with company standards and industry best practices.
Assist in developing templates and style guides for consistent documentation creation.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Documentation Writer, Technical Writer, or similar role.
Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand documentation.
Proficiency with documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or similar software.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
Familiarity with software development processes and agile methodologies is a plus.
A portfolio of previous documentation work or writing samples may be required during the interview process.
