Accounting Manager / Senior AccountantThis position offers an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded accounting professional who enjoys the variety, responsibility, and close collaboration of a small-company environment. The role is responsible for overseeing and executing the company's accounting and financial activities, while contributing financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including cash management, inventory control, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries within a computerized accounting systemOversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processesPrepare quarterly and annual financial statementsCoordinate and participate in internal and external auditsProvide financial insight through daily reporting, pro forma scenario development, forecasting, and strategic planning analysesSupervise and manage accounting assistants performing supporting tasksEnsure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Required Background:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldFive (5) or more years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentSkills and Qualifications:Strong accounting, financial, and analytical skillsExperience with accounting and financial software systemsSound and consistent business judgment with the ability to analyze and interpret financial dataHigh attention to detail to ensure complete, accurate, and consistent workExcellent communication skills and the ability to learn quicklyAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environmentCommitment to process improvement and standard work practicesAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearanceWork Environment:This role is best suited for a proactive professional who values accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a small company setting.Apply today for consideration
