Position Overview: Industrial Maintenance Technician

  • Periodic inspection of machinery, function, and process quality.
  • Troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, pneumatics, and production machines and equipment using hand tools, and precision measuring and testing devices.
  • Perform maintenance, improvements, training, and repair of process equipment.
  • Suggest and evaluate new ways of working, layouts, tools, to increase productivity.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Proposal and implementation of technical improvements and optimization of equipment
  • Training of employees with respect to machine operation, set-up, etc.
  • Conduct regular inspections (boiler, air compressor, machine calibration etc.)
  • Responsible for cleanliness of tools, maintenance shop, spare part storage and all other technical areas
  • Identification of hazards, implementation of safety measures and compliance OSHA regulations
  • The job holder might be assigned to other tasks and duties needed and if necessary

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude – drilling, tapping, installation, tuning, adjusting, torque specs, etc.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient Electrical knowledge (230-480v 3ph, 120vAC, 24vDC)
  • Elementary Pneumatics and Hydraulics knowledge
  • Preferred steam and boiler operation knowledge
  • Basic VFD/PLC knowledge
  • Outside-of-the box thinking
  • Ability to use power tools.
  • Basic knowledge of office and internet software
  • Self-starter able to work well as a team and independently.
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Forklift operation


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • 3-4 years working in an industrial maintenance/repair position.
  • 2-3 years machine operation
  • Associate or high school degree in an applicable technical field
  • Flexibility to work odd hours including weekends with short notice.
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, reach, and crawl.
  • Ability to work in hot and humid environments
