Position Overview:

The AVP, Branch Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects, focusing primarily on new branch development. This role requires exceptional project management skills, coordination with employees and vendors, and effective communication. The successful candidate will formulate strategies and implement processes to streamline branch opening procedures and ensure adherence to all banking policies and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:
  • Lead moderate to large-scale complex projects by providing strategic direction and oversight.
  • Design, develop, and manage comprehensive project plans in a dynamic environment, adapting to evolving requirements.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Ensure proper documentation of projects to mitigate risks and adhere to timelines.
  • Prepare FDIC application documents for new branches and submit them post-review and approval.
  • Coordination and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, city permitting offices, landlords, and other stakeholders to address and resolve construction obstacles swiftly.
  • Work with internal teams to establish project timelines, resource allocations, technology standards, and roadmaps amid tight deadlines.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor and track project costs to align with budget expectations; provide regular progress reports to the Chief Banking Officer.
  • Create and maintain systematic project documentation to monitor progress on individual tasks executed by vendors and staff.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 hours of CRA volunteer work per year during business hours (compensable time with mileage reimbursement).
  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform other assigned projects and tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Relevant Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and branch operations.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, consultative manner.
  • Strong analytical skills to address complex issues without precedent and employ problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, with a solid understanding of organizational change management.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a range of internal and external professionals.
  • Work Style:
  • Results-focused, with a thorough approach to identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity amidst multiple activities.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Foundational knowledge of branch operations and core banking platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other project management tools.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state banking regulations.
