  • Perform upgrades to refrigerated warehouse space with the Maintenance/Engineer team as required.
  • Maintain existing warehousing & and production facilities
  • Inspect and repair machinery as well as facility systems like electrical and plumbing
  • Welding – repairing parts or systems
  • Assist in the maintenance of company vehicles
  • Coordinate project status with the supervisor to prevent unplanned production downtime.
  • Required to work on all mechanical equipment repairs and maintenance programs to support the development of a Norpel PM program.
  • Attend calls on lines, working on planned and unplanned Maintenance work,
  • Complete Work Orders to include Annual, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily PMs.
  • Support and manage Maintenance and Engineering projects as needed.


Experience:


  • Previous experience in the facility/factory maintenance department is desired.
  • Ability to follow plans for repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physically capable of lifting as much as 100 pounds and carrying 50 pounds
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Computer savvy
  • Familiarity with the use of a CMMS is not required but is a plus.
  • Implement safety policies and procedures for the department. Help drive Safety Culture in the Facility with the clear understanding that “Safety is Everyone's Responsibility.” However, the Maintenance Department is expected to “Lead by example and Drive Safety across the entire Facility.”
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with general maintenance and repairs of electrical/mechanical systems in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.
  • A certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience in facility and factory maintenance, including maintenance of conveyor belts, grinders, metal detectors, mills, and evaporators.
