Salary: $130,000 to $195,000
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for the 24-hour accountability for the organization, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care in the surgical areas, with direct reporting accountability. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, monitoring, and evaluating capital and operating budgets.
- Providing overall leadership and decision support in surgical areas.
- Ensuring the level of care aligns with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Guiding Principles of SRH.
Essential Functions:
- Enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes in collaboration with organizational leadership.
- Implement organizational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
- Manage financial performance, identifying strategies to reduce costs while improving quality.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accrediting agencies.
- Mentor surgical managers and oversee professional and clinical staff development.
- Develop services focused on customer satisfaction and quality standards.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master's in a health-related or applicable (MBA) field preferred (to be obtained within 3 years of receiving the position).
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience required.
- Minimum of five years of managerial experience required.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Washington.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
