ABOUT THE COMPANY

Grit Productions and Expositions is a Corporate Event and Trade Show company. Grit produces and executes world class events including General Sessions, Town Halls, Board Meetings, and Breakouts. In addition, our Exposition branch produces trade shows all over the country. The Video Production Department plays a key role in content creation for all our clients, both for live productions as well as independent projects.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Serves as a technical specialist working with our events team managing equipment, labor, and logistics for our wide range of clients. This role will take on the responsibility of managing equipment for off-site events as well as in our studio. You will take on an integral role in the execution of each project. This role demands attention to technical detail, problem solving, quick thinking, multi-tasking, solid communication with all departments. This role reports to the VP of Productions.



KEY DUTIES & RESPONIBILITES

·      Help with installation and operation of off-site and studio shows.

·      Management of all AV gear.

·      Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.

·      Supervise and direct other technicians on-site or in studio.

·      This position reports to VP, Productions, VP of Operations.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

·      Minimum BA or BFA production degree preferred

·      Minimum of 5 years of solid audio-visual industry experience in event production

·      Strong proficiency in show electrical & power setups


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

·      Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·      Experience working with audio & video equipment, networking, and power.

·      Must have outstanding relationship skills and have a team-oriented work ethic.

·      Ability to work overtime.

·      Willingness to travel based on projects.

·      Be comfortable both giving direction and receiving it from others.

·      Outstanding customer service including professional presence and superior client relationship skills.

·      Proficiency with QLabs, Playback Pro, MS Office, and other programs.
