Summary of Position
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Medical Director, Neurologist, to join our client's team, a leading biopharmaceutical company. This role is open to candidates with varying levels of experience, ideally 10+ years, but we are also open to considering more junior candidates. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the medical strategy and execution of clinical development programs in neurology. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of clinical trials and the development of innovative therapies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the medical and scientific strategy for neurology clinical development programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and commercial teams, to ensure alignment and execution of clinical trials.
- Provide medical oversight and expertise during the design, conduct, and analysis of clinical trials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and other stakeholders in the neurology field.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of clinical trial protocols, study reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Participate in the evaluation of new therapeutic opportunities and provide medical input for business development activities.
- Represent the company at scientific and medical conferences, presenting data and findings from clinical studies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) throughout the clinical development process.
- Mentor and support junior medical staff and contribute to their professional development.
Requirements
- MD with specialization in Neurology.
- Ideally 10+ years of experience in clinical research, with a focus on neurology.
- Open to considering more junior candidates with relevant experience and potential.
- Strong track record of success in designing and executing clinical trials.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical development processes, regulatory requirements, and GCP.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for meetings, conferences, and site visits.
