Join Headspace as a Lead Mobile Engineer specialized in Flutter We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to enhance our Engagement organization by designing, developing, and maintaining top-notch mobile applications that embody our mission of improving health and happiness worldwide. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, crafting innovative solutions that elevate our mobile platform's functionality, performance, and user experience. You will have a vital role in shaping the future of Headspace's mobile experiences and will support our continued growth by delivering exceptional products. Come aboard to give your work a deeper purpose Location: This position requires hybrid work three days per week from our San Francisco or Santa Monica office. Responsibilities: Design and develop engaging content features for the Headspace mobile application, enhancing user experiences. Collaborate with teams to create technical specifications and evaluate new features and products. Write high-quality, efficient code while ensuring best practices and scalability in development efforts. Conduct thorough unit testing to guarantee reliability and exceptional usability across diverse scenarios. Stay updated on industry trends by evaluating and integrating new technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality. Utilize your expertise in mobile architectures to steer the evolution of our mobile platform. Promote quality management practices through comprehensive documentation and adherence to Headspace methodologies. Migrate and integrate existing native features into Flutter. Required Skills: 5+ years of mobile development experience with a proven history of building high-quality applications. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Flutter, including familiarity with frameworks, libraries, and APIs. Strong knowledge in mobile native technologies and design patterns (MVC, MVVM) with experience in TDD and unit testing. Proficient in using Android SDK, GIT, and essential mobile development tools. Commitment to delivering quality through robust code-testing practices. Experience with native Android is essential. Preferred Skills: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with MVVM architecture and CI/CD is a plus. Familiarity with flutter_bloc is also a plus. Pay & Benefits: The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $122,400-$195,500, along with equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are dependent on various factors such as location and experience. Additional compensation details will be provided during the hiring process.
