Clinical Director

Join our team as a Clinical Director, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the clinical operations of our services. You'll provide supervision and mentorship to our dedicated staff, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all. Your expertise will be key in delivering high-quality clinical services, from assessments to therapeutic interventions, and you'll be instrumental in developing and delivering training programs. As a vital link between our agency and external organizations, you'll connect clients with essential resources to meet their health, mental health, and human service needs.


Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership and Innovation:

  • Drive the strategic vision of our clinical programs, working closely with site supervisors and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Translate funding requirements into effective care models, track clinical performance, and develop policies that support our mission.
  • Lead our team in employing a client-centered approach, utilizing harm reduction and trauma-informed practices to deliver cutting-edge services.
  • Ensure the delivery of evidence-based practices, maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Supervision and Team Development:

  • Oversee the clinical work of staff, providing group and individual supervision to a diverse team, including clinicians, counselors, and case managers.
  • Support staff in their professional development, including those acquiring licensure, and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Collaborate with administrative supervisors to address staff concerns and foster a supportive team environment.

Quality Improvement and Compliance:

  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42CFR, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, regularly reviewing clinical situations and outcomes to enhance service delivery.
  • Keep staff informed on quality-of-care issues and policy changes, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.

Training and Development:

  • Design and conduct training sessions on clinical topics and administrative procedures, ensuring staff are well-informed and up-to-date with compliance requirements.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • California licensure (Psychologist, LMFT, or LCSW) with at least 2 years of experience providing clinical supervision, or license-eligible/certified SUD Counselor.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience working with co-occurring disorders and criminal justice populations.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed therapy, CBT, and other therapeutic approaches.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong clinical skills with a background in behavioral health services, including substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Culturally competent with the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet tools.
  • Experience working with individuals facing barriers to self-sufficiency.
  • Passionate, self-motivated, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and a track record of successfully managing multiple priorities.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to initiate and implement projects effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization and external partners.
