Job Title: IT Coordinator
Summary:
The IT Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily IT operations, and administrative areas with emphasis on end user technical problem resolution, technology support, and training. The IT Coordinator is expected to perform duties with a commitment to providing superior service to the staff, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
This list describes general job duties and responsibilities. It is not a complete list of duties.
- IT end-user support including end user tickets, apps, desktop, mobile phone, printer, A/V, general Tier 1 user support on various technologies/software/apps/systems.
- Performing end-user technical awareness outreach as required.
- Conducting new employee orientation.
- Documentation and training activities including drafting end user/software, web application, “how to use” instructions, quick reference cards etc.
- Delivering in-person and remote training/presentation on new software to end users.
- Maintaining project timelines, gathering technical requirements from users, and testing new software, apps, systems etc.
- Administrative tasks including compiling weekly team reports and maintaining meeting agendas, taking notes, and other administrative areas as assigned.
- Drafting and filing basic IT reports, taking meeting notes.
- Maintaining the IT inventory.
- Performing preliminary audit report reviews, and filing; sending Tier 1 IT audit reminders.
- General IT operations support and coordination including set up meetings, drafting IT forms, and performing other general activities/responsibilities as assigned.
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including communicating with diplomacy, discretion and tact. Ability to write clearly and translate technical jargon into understandable and user-friendly information.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in IT Coordinator/IT Specialist or a similar role.
- Bachelors degree in IT or any professional field preferred.
- Experience working in an association/law firm, or in a similar professional services environment.
- IT Operations experience preferred.
- Any IT/technical certifications preferred.
- Expertise in using Microsoft Office programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in supporting Windows desktop end-users, Office 365, Office apps, SharePoint, Cloud platforms, laptop computers, mobile phones, printers.
- Basic understanding of Project Management and SDLC principles.
- Some experience in maintaining project timelines, and gathering technical requirements from business users.
Project Management – Responsible for technical support, training and outreach initiatives and time/process management.
Customer Service - Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
Interpersonal Skills - Maintains confidentiality.
Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; able to read and interpret written information.
