Investment Operations Associate

Position Description:

Systematic Financial Management L.P. is currently seeking an energetic, self-driven and motivated entry level associate to join our Operations Team. The position will be a key part of the team, focused on the settlement of trades, reconciliation of accounts, corporate actions, data maintenance, and account openings, transfers, and terminations. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to learn and grow. It is a hybrid position and will require the individual to work generally from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as point person for client on-boarding, new account set-up and on-going account maintenance, manage account custodian transfers and process account terminations.
  • Perform account reconciliations versus custodian and broker custodian records. The individual will be responsible for investigation and resolution of issues identified.
  • Perform the end of day process and manage the trade confirmation/affirmation process each evening.
  • Review current internal procedures and processes to ensure they are appropriate, accurate, efficient, and well documented.
  • Work with other members of the investment operations, compliance and marketing staff and ensure a high level of customer service is provided. This includes ensuring that all communications and data meet a standard of excellence that incorporates the firm’s commitment to integrity and quality.
  • Assist in the monthly performance calculation and attribution process as well as performance reconciliation investigation and resolution.
  • Prioritize and handle ad hoc projects and client requests as business requirements emerge and evolve.


Requirements:

  • Solid PC skills. The position requires an intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in the use of MS Office applications such as Teams, Word and Excel. Familiarity with Adobe Sign and AI applications is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field; An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with equity securities and the stock market a plus.
