JOB OPPORTUNITY: This is an opportunity to join a growing and fast paced company providing project management for the design/construction/installation of athletic projects for spectator seating, indoor ball goals, indoor divider curtains, volleyball systems, and videoboards with K-12 and collegiate customers. JOB OBJECTIVE:

Manage all aspects of construction projects including project planning, contracts, submittal process, scheduling, cost management and overseeing subcontractors’ performance insuring compliance with quality standards.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Responsible for oversight of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of company assigned projects from handoff to completion.

•Review, coordinate, and approve all drawings prior to submittal to architects, general contractors, vendors, and owners.

•Develops and manages successful relationships with vendors, architects, general contractors, sub-contractors, and company clients.

•Participate in on-site meetings with architects, construction managers, general contractors, and owners.

•Conduct field checks verifying measurements/dimensions for ball goal & indoor bleacher projects.

•Negotiates with vendors, architects, general contractors, and sub-contractors resolving problems & conflicts.

•Verifies that the quality of finished work meets contract requirements and conditions of performance ensuring quality construction standards are met.

•Leads the project closeout and punch list process to ensure project completion dates are attained and budgeted company profitability is achieved.

•Oversee all on-site construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations on assigned projects

•Responsible for building code compliance with all state agencies.


DESIRED BACKGROUND & SKILL SETS:

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or will consider equivalent work experience

•2-3 years of experience preferred with advanced knowledge of construction management and commercial general contractor processes. In K-12 market preferred.

•Knowledge of building, design and construction systems and management strategies

•Familiarity with construction management software packages. Procore a plus.

•Ability to interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications

•Strong computer skills, using Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel

•Bluebeam experience (Preferred)

•Excellent and effective time management skills
