Technical Program Manager

Looking for highly motivated Technical Program Managers to bolster our US and India teams. MP Consulting is a Chicago-based product development firm staffed with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware engineers working on cutting edge products in the consumer, medical, and automotive industries. We are expanding our team to continue to deliver quality solutions to our customers.


Technical program managers manage technical projects of all types through every stage of development, from idea to design to completion.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the product
  • Keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
  • Instill best practices for product development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
  • Project management - prioritization, planning of projects, vendor/3rd party management and tracking of external commitments
  • Attending meetings/calls, giving updates to the customer, filtering important information down to the engineering teams


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • Hands-on technical expertise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong leadership skills
