Position Overview:

As the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Consolidations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial consolidation and reporting functions for our large manufacturing company. Your expertise in financial reporting, consolidations, and your strong leadership skills will be essential in managing complex financial data, streamlining processes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting accuracy and transparency.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the financial reporting and consolidations team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and dissemination of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Coordinate and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and financial reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance the integrity of the company's consolidation and reporting systems, including ERP and financial software.
  • Manage the preparation of consolidated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the finance, accounting, and audit teams, to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting and consolidation processes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of internal controls to enhance the accuracy and transparency of financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation for and execution of external financial audits, including liaising with auditors, providing requested documentation, and addressing audit findings.
  • Stay current with changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance financial processes.
  • Serve as a financial reporting expert within the organization, providing guidance and insights to senior leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and consolidations, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards.
  • Previous leadership and management experience, including supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting software.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address financial reporting challenges.
