Naf Naf Middle Eastern Gill is hiring a District Manager to manage our Chicago area locations We are hiring for both downtown Chicago and for the suburbs. 

 

Duties:

  • Performs assessments and store operations audits, and communicates strengths and areas of opportunity to their teams
  • Drives continuous improvement for operational objectives in guest service, cleanliness, safety and security, food quality, procedural compliance, training and learning
  • Understands and analyzes operational restaurant performance and financial performance while identifying trends and implementing action plans for improvement
  • Focuses efforts on developing long term sales growth initiatives designed to drive profitable sales growth
  • Maintains fiscal responsibility by weighing the cost/benefit impact of financial decisions
  • Meets or excels the budget on financial goals and benchmarks set by the company
  • Develops a strong succession plan by consistently focusing on recruiting, hiring, and developing the team at all levels of the store operations
  • Empowers and coaches General Managers to develop strong teams, provide continuous feedback, and regularly assess performance
  • Supports GMs with scheduling and managing labor costs by fully leveraging labor management tools, while ensuring all stores are fully staffed and store performance objectives are met
  • Acts as the liaison between the Support Center and stores
  • Identifies opportunities to control food and labor costs, waste, and cash handling
  • Educates, enforces, and abides by all policies and applicable labor laws

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Excel at analyzing store-level needs and implementing fixes
  • Build strong teams, motivate others, and foster teamwork
  • Exhibit a desire to teach, learn, and lead
  • Offer solutions, communicate needs, and be receptive to feedback
  • Have a detail-focused, results-driven attitude combined with the ability to effectively work and communicate with the Naf team (from all hourly staff to the CEO)
  • Display a strong passion for training and thrive on working with others to develop professionally and personally

 

Requirements for District Managers:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 5+ years of multi-unit management experience, managing 5+ stores (fast-casual or quick service experience preferred but not required)
  • Must meet the minimum criteria in a background check
  • Must also be available and willing to work a variety of days/times including weekends and evenings
  • Able to provide or obtain ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate prior to start date
  • Able to provide or obtain any state-required food service certifications
  • Able to provide the appropriate documentation to prove U.S. work eligibility
  • Has reliable transportation to and from stores within the district
  • Must be available to answer calls from the store’s alarm company and/or check on the restaurant in the event of an emergency
  • Able to perform all essential functions of the position
  • Able to read, speak, and write English
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Required to stand, walk, and exert fast-paced movement for the duration of your scheduled shift
  • Able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency
  • Able to perform math calculations, reading, listening, and speaking skills at the intermediate level
  • Able to read and follow recipes and sanitation guides
  • Able to use cooking and/or baking measurement tools according to the listed recipe
  • Able to oversee a fast-paced, guest-focused store through the coordination of schedules, problem solving, training, maintaining cleanliness and providing excellent customer service
