Controls Design/ Sr. Hardware Engineer


The application-specific experience is required for the following application.

  • Worked in automation industry: -Specifically in EV Battery assembly lines, Engine Assembly Lines, Head /block /crank shaft machining and assembly line, ROBOTIC cells
  • Worked in automation industry -Specifically Vehicle assembly. i.e. Trim, Chassis, and Final assembly lines
  • Worked in automation industry-Specifically in BIW i.e., Welding automation, Welding fixture.



Job Profile/Description:

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Good understanding of Application and process study for Automation projects.
  • Preparation of Controls/Communication architecture for the system.
  • Preparation of Functional Specification for the systems.
  • Preparation of Risk assessment and Safety matrix for the machines.
  • Preparation of Electrical CAD drawing for the machines using E-plan or AutoCAD tool.
  • Good Knowledge of Controls components and Pneumatics components.
  • Knowledge of sensor selection required for automotive application.
  • Good understanding of PLC Panel Design and Design calculations like Load Calculation of System and Heat Calculation of Enclosures and electrical components.
  • Knowledge of E-plan/ Electrical AutoCAD tool using for electrical wiring is preferred.
  • Experience in configuration of SIEMENS industrial protocol-PROFIBUS/PROFINET and Rockwell industrial protocol-ETHERNET-IP.
  • Knowledge of fieldbus such as Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet IP and Serial Communication.
  • Prepare of interlock signal document for third party systems such as EV Battery Electric Test System, Leak Test System, Nut Runner System.
  • Knowledge of Interfacing with controls components like Barcode Scanners and Industrial Printers, Nut-runners, Leak Test and Marking Machines.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable to Conceptualize and design the controls for the Automation projects.
  • Application and Process Study
  • Understand the project, write the process requirement for the automation station/project.
  • Prepare Critical Controls component list to be shared with customer and timely approval shall be taken.
  • Prepare Design approval documents to the customer and Discussion with customer in detail to get the designs approved from customer as per agreed schedule.
  • Interact with internal mechanical design team to prepare mechanical-controls signoff.
  • To prepare Input/output list required for the station/machine/system.
  • To prepare high-level Controls architectures for the system.
  • Responsible to prepare functional specifications of the assembly line machine as per the machine/customer requirement.
  • Accountable to prepare a Risk assessment and Safety matrix for the machines.
  • Accountable to prepare design plans and design execution of assembly line projects for the control's deliverables.
  • Prepare and Review of electrical/pneumatics wiring diagram for electrical parts used in the system using Eplan or AutoCAD tool.
  • Validation of BOM, cable report, terminal report using Eplan/Auto CAD tool.
  • Basic and detailed engineering related to controls.
  • Written business communication and interacting with international clients for project related queries and project directions.


Expected Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics)
  • Engineering Tool Skills
  • E-plan and Electrical Auto CAD
  • 3 to 10 Years of Industrial Experience in Industrial equipment/Automation Solution Design. Similar experience as Project Manager can also be considered.
