A health services network in Westchester County is actively seeking a Director of Employee & Labor Relations to join their growing team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Hours: M-F Business Hours

The Director of Employee & Labor Relations will:

  • Cultivate positive employee relations in both union and non-union environments, including implementing programs and addressing concerns to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Manage employment and labor relations activities, such as contract administration, negotiations, grievance handling, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and oversee talent acquisition strategies and processes, ensuring efficient hiring practices and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, including mentoring/coaching in talent management processes, policy development, and team improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders on retention, succession planning, and employee engagement strategies, while ensuring fair resolution of employee relations issues and compliance with applicable procedures and laws.
  • Perform other duties, as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field of study. Master's preferred
  • HR professional certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience specific to Talent Management with progressive responsibility, preferably in healthcare field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters in a union environment.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement HR Programs and initiatives across multiple organizations with distinct cultures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge for the practical application of human resources protocols in a variety of HR areas, such as employee relations, performance management, engagement, recruitment, retention and employee coaching.
