Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance and mentoring to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop talented engineers to expand the capabilities and capacity of the electrical engineering team.
  • Oversee the design process using Altium for schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation to ensure high-quality electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement rigorous testing procedures to validate electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into larger aerospace and defense projects, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
  • Ensure all designs and processes meet regulatory and security clearance requirements for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Drive projects forward by setting clear goals, managing resources effectively, and maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within the aerospace and defense industry, with a focus on electrical engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Experience in testing and validation of electrical systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Active security clearance required (e.g., Secret, Top Secret).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MIL-STD and DO-160 standards.
  • Familiarity with software tools for simulation and analysis (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
