About the Role:

We are seeking a full-time Apprentice Funeral Director to work with our funeral home. Our staff collectively brings over 50 years of experience to families and the community. Our funeral directors and staff work closely with families, clergy, synagogues, cemeteries, vendors and other associates to facilitate meaningful, traditional funeral services. According to Jewish custom, this often means coordinating services on noticeably short notice which makes for a high-paced and fluid working environment. Why choose us? We care about our employees. Responsibilities:

• Removals
• Assist funeral directors, preparation, and services
• Sit in on arrangements
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

- Apprentice funeral director license

Required Skills:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Good verbal and written skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Detailed oriented, especially with documents and arrangements

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing may be required. Must be able to lift fifty pounds at times.
