The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment that often requires quick decision-making and effective communication. Responsibilities include managing the logistics of funeral arrangements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and maintaining relationships with both families and associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting with families to outline available services and finalize funeral arrangements
  • Overseeing the execution of funeral ceremonies
  • Facilitating the transfer of deceased individuals
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and promptly in accordance with applicable laws
  • Being available for on-call duties as necessary
  • Performing additional related tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid CT Funeral Directors or Embalmers License, or eligibility to obtain one from another state, or currently enrolled in a funeral service program with the potential to secure an Apprentice License
  • Understanding of Jewish funeral practices is preferred.
