Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy Development:
  • Define the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the company’s goals, and continuously evolving priorities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure product strategy aligns with business objectives.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch performance.
  • Own the process of collecting potential backlog items from stakeholders, vetting value, and aligning the executive team on sequence
  • Continuously monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize and enhance product offerings.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Develop, lead, and mentor a small, agile team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and performance reviews.
  • Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with engineering, merchandising, marketing, store operations, hr, distribution center leaders, and customer support teams to ensure cohesive product development and delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all departments.
  • Customer and Market Focus:
  • Deeply understand the needs of Retail employees and consumers; identify pain points through direct interaction and feedback.
  • Use customer insights to drive product innovation and improvements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with omni-channel business needs and demands.
  • Build the Product Function:
  • Develop and implement the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Establish product management processes and best practices.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing product team.
  • Product Execution:
  • Communicate the product strategy and continuously evolving priorities, aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to bring products to market.
  • Hands-On Leadership:
  • Actively engage in daily operations across various locations including the main office, stores, and distribution center.
  • Work closely with the team to identify and resolve product-related issues.
  • Ensure that products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Retail and eCommerce experience strongly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Deep understanding of product management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics related to product performance.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based at Company Headquarters in West Jordan, UT. Regular visits within the Salt Lake valley to stores, distribution center / call center.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
