Payroll SpecialistJoin our dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist, where you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This position involves handling moderately complex payroll tasks, maintaining payroll records, and addressing payroll-related inquiries to support seamless payroll operations.Responsibilities:Prepare, process, and handle payroll data and systems in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations.Address complex payroll-related inquiries, issues, or discrepancies.Collaborate with various departments and locations to ensure seamless payroll operations.Process high volume payroll for 1300 employees across multiple states, including OR, WA, and ID.Handle state taxes, earnings, and deductions, including garnishments.Essential Skills:5+ years of experience in full cycle payroll.Fundamental Payroll Certificate (FPC) or willingness to obtain Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) within 12-18 months.Proficiency in UKG Pro (formerly Ultipro) and MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, conditional formatting).Experience with employment taxes, earnings, and deductions.High level of attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in the insurance or healthcare industries is a plus.Skills in process improvement and cross-functional processes.Personable and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.Work Environment:This role operates in a team-driven environment characterized by high levels of communication, empathy, and transparency.
