  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data processing and storage performance to enhance the efficiency of data operations.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or principal role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Extensive experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
  • Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow or Luigi.
