We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Coordinator to join our team, assisting the Test and Inspection service department The ideal candidate will have experience or basic knowledge in the fire alarm industry and will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling inspections and service work for our local and national customers. This role involves various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our service and inspection department.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordination and Scheduling: Assist in the coordination and scheduling of inspections and service work for our customers, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Job Setups and Purchase Orders: Complete new job setups and issue purchase orders to subcontractors and various vendors, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Report Review and Distribution: Review and distribute inspection reports, service acknowledgements, and tickets, ensuring all findings and actions are properly documented and communicated.
  • Pricing and Proposals: Develop pricing and proposals for required or recommended repairs for break-fixes and deficiencies identified during service and inspection activities.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the development and training of new policies, procedures, and techniques for service and inspection personnel to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and profitability of the department.
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Create, distribute, and manage subcontractor Service Level Agreements, ensuring clear expectations and standards are established and maintained.
  • Backup Support: Serve as a backup for billing and contracting reports, ensuring continuity of operations during staff absences or high workload periods.
  • Intake of New Jobs: Assist Service Sales with the intake of new jobs, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to service.


Qualifications:


  • Preferably some experience in the fire alarm industry or basic knowledge of the industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Benefits:


  • $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

  • 9 days in total of planned company paid days off due to the Holidays which is based upon the date of hire.
  • PTO accrued quarterly: at years 1 through 4 you’ll earn three weeks of PTO / 15 days.
