JOB SUMMARY FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:


  • Hiring an Electrical Engineer for a leading manufacturer in Mossville, IL.
  • Core Hours 8am to 4pm; potential early morning or evening meetings with global teams
  • Pay $42-43/hour based on benefits



RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:


  • Work with machine systems teams to establish converter requirements for e-powertrain.
  • Perform analysis and evaluation needed to select the best supplier option.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and system teams to develop production components from requirements definition to validation completion.
  • Support NTI & NPI programs: communication with NTI/NPI leads; prepare and present design and gateway reviews.
  • Play an active role in supplier evaluation, selection, and development– some limited travel will be required.
  • Execute and support electrical commissioning and testing on purchased components.
  • Support APQP activities on purchased components in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Document and resolve field issues.
  • Manage procurement, inventory, and shipment of components.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advances and market trends in e-powertrain DC converters and inverters.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:


  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in product development



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:


  • Experience with electric drive systems and/or components
  • Component development experience: design/analysis/assembly/testing.
  • Experience with quality tools including FMEA, APQP & PPAP
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) Issue resolution process
