Job Summary:

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Engineer – Configuration Systems Integration in Mossville or Decatur, IL. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager Engineering and will be primarily responsible for overseeing concepts, architects and integrates new products, components, or technologies. As a member of the Large Wheel Loader Engineering team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team

What you will do:

Researching and developing design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of new products and components.

Guiding the evolution of the technical design, technical project planning, performance analysis, and development testing. Participating in supplier selection and capabilities assessment.

Monitoring, exploring, and testing new technologies, materials, and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities.

Constructing and fabricating prototype equipment; overseeing materials selection, process optimization and process yield, as well as reliability testing and failure analysis.

Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
