This opportunity is based from our site in Oxford, Alabama. The role is hybrid with occasional travel to our other sites across the country.

We’re on the hunt for a high-flying Talent Development Manager to pilot our Learning and Development programme across North America.

The Role:

As our coaching and influencing ace, you’ll work closely with senior leaders across the business to define and execute a talent development strategy that aligns with Doncasters' strategic flight plan.

Your mission: Discover and tackle talent risks early to ensure smooth sailing, while driving effective succession planning that sets the stage for long-term success. Boost the skills of both current and future leaders to keep the momentum going strong, and build a solid talent pipeline that’s ready for whatever comes next. Along the way, keep employee engagement high and create an environment where everyone thrives


Key Responsibilities:

As the go-to expert for talent development, you’ll provide valuable guidance and advice while partnering in the talent review process to ensure a clear understanding of internal talent, succession planning, and risk management. You'll design and lead impactful workshops and development programs to foster growth and support career progression. Working closely with local leaders and HR, you'll identify and address key development needs, using measurement tools to track ROI, effectiveness, and success. You'll promote a culture of continuous learning and development, driving commitment to policies and frameworks, while building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external providers.

Qualifications

  • HR/Training qualification (degree, master's, SHRM, or CIPD)
  • Strong Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Word)
  • Desirable:
  • Psychometric Personality & Ability qualifications


Experience

  • Adaptable and resilient, able to manage high workloads and navigate change
  • Independent thinker with strong time management and initiative
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills across various audiences
  • Proven experience designing and delivering development programs both virtually and in-person
  • Familiarity with leadership development, employee engagement, and people management
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with leadership coaching, team integration, and team assessments
  • Knowledge of psychometric tools, 360 assessments, video creation, and eLearning tools
  • Experience with talent systems like LMS or Performance Management
