CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNICIAN, Surgical Services
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide professional care to OR patients. Utilize professional technical process in all aspects of care delivery. Ability to assist in management of all categories of diseases and surgical procedures. Ability to work well in a stressful and pressured environment.
- Assists in the care of patients in the Operating Room and related areas under the direct supervision of the professional nurse
- Assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of sterile and un-sterile equipment
- Provide accurate documentation
- Demonstrates ability to apply principles of sterile technique
- Assists circulating nurse
- Assists in the safe transfer and positioning of patients according to accepted procedure
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from NYS approved Certified CST Training Program.
- Certification with National Board Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting
- BLS certification
- Relevant experience

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $39.79 - $53.58 HOURLY. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
