Role Description

This is a full-time in-person role for a Senior Software Engineer at PrintNinja located in Evanston, IL. We're looking for someone who wants to have a direct role in the technical development of our company and has the commitment to be there every day to guide that direction. You'll be reporting to the Director of Operations and the owner and helping with the planning and execution of development in a variety of technical areas. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software solutions. We're looking for someone with a superior technical skill set who can relate and communicate on a technical and non-technical level with the whole team.


Our infrastructure utilizes Salesforce, Wordpress, and several custom-built PHP-based calculators that all communicate with each other. You should have experience in these environments as well as adapting systems to work with each other when an out-of-the-box solution won't work. Our environment is mature and built on a solid framework, but needs updating to maintain agility as well as further development to exploit growth opportunities and operational efficiency.


You'll work with some existing technical resources and will be expected to utilize project management tools to plan and deliver on projects within agreed-upon timeframes.



Qualifications

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, PHP, Python, or C++
  • Experience with software development, testing, and debugging
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience utilizing offshore freelancers to assist with achieving goals on budget
  • Salesforce, Wordpress, Gsuite
