About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer II to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of software products and supporting systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, test, and document software modules and sub-systems
  • Understand and employ best practices
  • Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products
  • Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions
  • Understand marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or related field with 3 years' experience or MS
  • Working experience with algorithm development using GPU for engineering applications
  • Familiarity with mesh generation concepts, CAD systems, and geometry basics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical knowledge and experience in C/C++ languages, computer architecture (CPUs & GPUs), and GPU APIs such as CUDA or OpenCL
  • Experience in a large-scale commercial software development environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
