Superintendent Multifamily ProjectsMy client is an Indianapolis-based general contractor offering full-service multifamily construction, design-build, and construction management. Founded by experienced industry leaders, the firm focuses on quality craftsmanship, repeat-client relationships, and collaborative project delivery. They operate across sectors including multifamily and senior living frequently work with developers on proforma-driven projects. My client emphasizes hands-on leadership, use of construction technology like Procore, and a commitment to on-time, on-budget results.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent will:Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, enforce quality standards, and set next-day prioritiesCoordinate and schedule subcontractors, confirm scopes, and ensure trades are working to the critical pathOversee subcontractor performance, conduct daily check-ins, and enforce contractual and safety obligationsRun toolbox talks and routine safety inspections to maintain compliance and a safe jobsiteReview and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports in ProcoreVerify material deliveries, inspect installations, and resolve workmanship or sequencing issuesLead trade coordination meetings and communicate schedule, quality, and scope updates to the project teamMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Successful Superintendent5+ years of experience on multifamily or senior living projectsProven track record managing ground-up and podium/wood-frame multifamily projectsClear, direct communicator who coordinates trades, vendors, inspectors, and ownersStrong hands-on scheduling and sequencing skills to protect the critical pathDecisive problem-solver who anticipates issues and implements practical fixes quicklyDemonstrated ability to manage subcontractor performance and enforce contractual and safety requirementsDetailed-oriented with disciplined documentation habits (RFIs, submittals, daily logs) and Procore fluencyWhat's on OfferThe Construction Superintendent will be offered:Competitive base salary up to $150,000 depending on experience and project scope.Health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Retirement plan options such as a 401(k) with possible employer matching.Paid time off and company-observed holidays.Vehicle or mileage allowance and/or company vehicle for site travel on larger projects.Performance bonus or incentive pay tied to schedule, safety, and budget performance.Tools, PPE, and technology support (Procore, Bluebeam, mobile devices) to manage field documentation.Opportunities for career growth into senior field or operations leadership roles.
