Job Title: Mid-Level Pega Developer

Location: Vienna, VA/Pensacola, FL/ San Diego, CA

Duration: Long Term


Hybrid Days in-office requirement: 2x a week or 8x a month


Basic Purpose:

Develop technical solutions for importing and ingesting Customer Data into Pega CDH on Pega Cloud. The Data Engineer will be responsible for guiding the design, development, of Client's Data with a specific focus on Pega DataFlow, and ETL pipelines to support Pega Marketing systems capabilities. Solves highly complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. Interacts with other functional teams or projects. Works independently.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Load Customer Data into Pega CDH on Pega Cloud, monitor data quality and implement related controls.

• Migrate existing ETL for the Pega marketing PaaS solution to a Pega managed service in the cloud, SaaS solution.

• Evaluate possible designs, improve methods, and implement optimizations.

• Document best practices for data models, data loads, query performance and enforce with other team members.

• Implement integration plans and interface with testing teams to incorporate plans into the integration testing process.

• Develop custom systems integration solution components as dictated by business requirements.

• Perform data archival.

• Create reports to provide insight into ETL execution statistics and status.

• Analyze and validate data sharing requirements within and outside data partners.

• Work directly with business leadership to understand data requirements; propose and develop solutions that enable effective decision-making and drives business objectives.

• A Certified Pega Senior System Architect or Lead System Architect with significant experience developing solution is Customer Decision Hub (CDH)

• Certified Pega Decisioning Consultant (CPDC) with strong Decisioning expertise and ownership of technical solutions.

• Responsible for architecting and designing business applications using Pega PRPC and other Pega frameworks.

• Responsible for technical oversight and implementation of Pegasystems solutions.

• Manage and ensure quality standards of Pega implementations.

• Lead the discussions and initiatives on integration of other applications with Pega based application.



Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Required:

o Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

o Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices

o Experienced in the use of ETL tools and techniques and have knowledge of CI/CD

o Very good understanding of SQL (Advanced level)

o Strong knowledge and experience with configuration, load-balancing, auto-scaling, monitoring, networking, and problem-solving in a cloud environment

o Experience with processing various file types

o Experience in ITIL Service Operations including Incident, Problem, & Alert Management

o Hands-on experience with Pega 8.x, PostgresQL and Cassandra

o Hands-on experience creating automated data pipelines using Pega DataFlow and other modern technology stacks for batch ETL or API

o Knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and PRPC design and implementation

o Knowledge of Pega Application packaging, security, rulesets, portals, reports, and other Pega OOTB tools

o Demonstrates change management and/or excellent communication skills.

o Experience leading/training junior team members on Pega application and incidents


Desired:

o Experience analyzing log files and reports from application sources

o 5+ years of experience in application support and incident and problem management

o 5+ years supporting Pega applications

o Pega Cloud experience

o Pega Certified System/Senior System Architect

o Experience on all Pega products including Robot Manager, Deployment Manager, AppFactory and CDH

o Extensive debugging skills in PRPC using tracer, clipboard and rules inspector

o Experience with PDC and server monitoring and agents monitoring


Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
