Network Engineer

Network Engineer will be responsible for deploying new equipment, managing system upgrades, monitoring overall performance, and provide support in troubleshooting to resolve issues.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
  • Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
  • Implementing disaster recovery procedures
  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
  • Provide Tier II/III support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in network maintenance and support planning, organizing, and documenting complex system design activities
  • Sonic Wall Firewalls
  • Fortinet firewalls
  • Cisco Switches
  • Cisco routers
  • VPN Tunnel knowledge
