Position Overview for the Security Engineer:

  • Manage and administer security applications
  • Analyze and design security solutions for threats and vulnerabilities
  • Provide recommendations for security tools and process improvements
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining new and existing security technologies
  • Utilize security tools such as Splunk, Barracuda, and/or Palo Alto firewalls
  • Conduct assessments of operating systems and network components to identify potential security threats


Required Experience for the Security Engineer:

  • 3+ years of IT Security experience
  • Extensive experience in Threat Analysis
  • Hands on experience with tools such as Symantec, Splunk, Palo Alto Firewalls, Barracuda, Mindcast, Tripwire, etc.
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems
  • Hands on experience supporting routers and switches
  • Hands on experience with Active Directory
  • Understanding of network design and network components
  • Certifications in networking and/or security desired
