Key Responsibilities:


Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications using ESRI tools and other GIS software.

Create and manage geo-enabled databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Work with relational database management systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, to support GIS data integration and analysis.

Develop and manage maps, spatial data, and related GIS tools.

Conduct ALTA surveys and integrate survey data into GIS applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver GIS solutions that meet those needs.

Troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related issues and provide technical support to end-users.

Stay current with GIS technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve our GIS capabilities.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a GIS Developer or in a similar role.

Proficiency with ESRI products (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, etc.) and other GIS tools.

Strong understanding of geo-enabled databases and relational database management systems, specifically Microsoft SQL Server.

Experience with map creation and spatial data management.

Knowledge of ALTA surveys and their integration into GIS applications.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


Certification in GIS or related disciplines.

Experience with scripting languages such as Python or SQL.

Familiarity with web-based GIS applications and services.

Knowledge of geospatial data standards and best practices.
