Purpose

This scope of work is for a System Software Programmer function and provides Intersystem Cache technical development support for the statewide immunization registry (Florida SHOTS) for the Florida Department of Health's Division of Disease Control and Health Protection.

Contractor Qualifications and Experience

The contractor will have 5 years of experience developing and/or testing systems using Intersystem Cache, as well as experience in Object and Relational database design, HTML, Mumps coding, and connecting a web server to a Cache Database.

The contractor will also have experience testing web-based applications, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Object-Oriented Design (OOD), as well as expertise in testing and configuring programs that use Soundex Software such as Search Software America.

Contractor Responsibilities

The contractor will perform the following tasks:

  • Develop test cases supporting the Florida SHOTS systems per standards set by the Department.
  • Research technical solutions to issues affecting the systems' current ability to perform, and solutions to requirements for enhancements to the system as directed by the Department.
  • Assist with pre-testing setup as directed by the Department.
  • Evaluate post-testing results as directed by the Department.
  • Conduct a final evaluation of the published code to assure that the system is operating as developed and tested.
  • Standardize collection and storage of Department shared data.
  • Document design and develop plans using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project or other software, to accomplish the Master Person Index project as assigned by the Department, Health Information Exchange (HIE).
  • Provide code related to enhancements or corrections to the Florida SHOTS system to testers via documents within Requisite Pro in collaboration with the Business Analyst and Project Manager.
  • Meet with Florida SHOTS technical team to discuss issues that are pertinent with current development, testing, releases or possible enhancement as directed by the Department.

The contractor, its employees, subcontractors, and agents must comply at all times with all Department data security procedures and policies in the performance of this scope of work as specified in the Data Security and Confidentiality document attached to the purchase order.
