Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the physician, according to established practice guidelines and utilizing evidence-based clinical practicestandards, provides inpatient and outpatient management, consultations, and co-management of surgical patients.ResponsibilitiesManages patients with the highest degree of independence in provision of patient care services with minimal physician supervisionand in a highly specialized area and across the continuum.Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, diagnosticstudies and recognizes deviations from the normal.Develops a diagnosis and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to formulate and implements the treatment plan.Surgically close wounds, incision and drainage, debridement, dressing (the surgeon must remain in the immediate area).Scrub with collaborating surgeon in operating room.Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed, in diagnosing medical and surgical problems andprescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.Implements appropriate management based on
