Contract: 12+ months


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to support and manage our IT infrastructure, focusing on DevOps processes, system administration, and automation in cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of system architecture, provisioning, maintenance, security, and release management, with proficiency in various tools and platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, and relevant DevOps tools.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Maintain DevOps processes and infrastructure, ensuring seamless development and operational efficiency.
  • Perform system troubleshooting and support, ensuring data integrity and responding to service outages.
  • Implement security considerations and design scalable and automated infrastructure services.
  • Provide expertise in release management using tools such as Azure DevOps, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
  • Maintain backup and restore processes and ensure continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD) of systems.
  • Support network integration and protocols, specifically TCP/IP, and perform systems administration for both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Automate services using scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, Perl, YAML, PowerShell, and Java.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using container orchestrators like Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD solutions and manage APIs.


Required Skills:

  • Web and Middleware Technologies: Weblogic, IIS, Tomcat, Apache, SOA, OSB, ISG, OCI, Nginx, Node.js.
  • Cloud and DevOps: Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS on platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, and proficiency in automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Programming & Scripting: Proficient in Ruby, Python, Perl, YAML, PowerShell, Java, and administrative scripting languages (Tk, Perl, VBScript).
  • DevOps & CI/CD Tools: Azure DevOps, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Terraform, and scheduler tools like dSeries.
  • Testing & Release Management: Knowledge of SDLC, unit testing, automated/manual deployments, and backup/restore processes.
  • Infrastructure Management: Experience with systems design for scalability, performance, and security.
  • System Monitoring: Creating and managing tracking systems for monitoring cloud and on-premise infrastructures.


Experience:

  • Experience working with DevOps methodologies and tools in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructures across multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in supporting application servers, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and facilitating change management processes.
