IT Applications Product Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic individual to join our team as an IT Applications Product Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing the value of applications developed by our team, ensuring that products meet both business and user requirements. Key responsibilities include eliciting requirements, writing user stories, refining requirements, and defining acceptance criteria for business applications. You will play a critical role in defining product features and reviewing new functionality to ensure it aligns with business value and long-term goals.
In this role, you will identify trends and opportunities for improvement, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and create functional specifications for new solutions. You will assist the business in developing technical solutions to address business problems, prioritize features, and manage the product backlog.

Responsibilities:
- Maximizing the value of applications resulting from the work of the development team
- Elicit requirements, write user stories, refine requirements, and define acceptance criteria for business applications
- Defining product features and ensuring the product meets business and user requirements
- Review product features and ongoing new functionality for business value and long-term impact
- Identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
- Communicating with stakeholders
- Creating functional specifications for new solution development
- Assist the business in developing technical solutions to business problems
- Prioritize features and manage the product backlog
- Manage projects independently and as part of a larger team
- Collaborate with testing staff on test criteria and test plans
Desired Skills:
- Critical thinking, assessment abilities, a natural curiosity, problem solving, service mentality
- Excel at User Story writing, Change Management and Quality Management
- Extensive experience using enterprise resource software and a thorough working knowledge of cross department processes
- Five or more years of experience working in software development as a business analyst or product owner
