Salary: Up to $200k Base (+ Benefits)


You will act as the Team Lead for Hardware Engineers, guiding the development of next-generation satellite systems, plus a team of 3-4 other Hardware Engineers.


Lead Hardware Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge hardware for space applications.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 4 hardware engineers, while developing roadmaps and fostering technical growth within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the firmware division, to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components on the Satellites
  • Drive the hardware development process from concept through to production, ensuring high reliability and performance in space environments (full lifecycle)
  • Engage in both hands-on hardware development and some functional management activities, balancing technical design work with people management responsibilities (80% hands-on)


Lead Hardware Engineer Requirements:

  • Experience leading teams of Hardware Engineers whilst also leading the Hardware development lifecycle
  • Expertise in hardware design with knowledge of Electrical Engineering (high speed design experience designed)
  • Experience in industries such as Communication, Radar, Memory (Data Storage), RF/Sonar, and Space is highly desirable.
